Bachelor of Business Administration (2000), Grant ‘Tourism in Spain’ (2004) for the Doctoral Thesis and PhD from the University of Cantabria (2005).
His main lines of work are destination marketing, with special attention paid to developing the image of destinations, consumer behavior and new information technologies in tourism. His research so far has led to the publication of over 15 scientific papers in renowned national and international journals. Equally notable is the fact that he has co-authored several chapters in collective marketing works and has defended more than 20 papers in national and international conferences. He has also participated in numerous research projects and has served as a reviewer for several Spanish and foreign journals. He is currently Associate Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Business Practice at the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies from the University of Cantabria.
He is Professor responsible for the subject Sectoral Marketing (Business Administration degree studies) and the subjects Perceived Quality Management and Planning of Tourism Destination Marketing (Master's Degree in Marketing Management) from the University of Cantabria. He has participated in various graduate and postgraduate programs at the University of Cantabria and other national and international institutions (University of Extremadura, University of Salamanca or Technological Institute of Monterrey). Likewise, he has taught several courses and seminars on marketing planning in the new international context.
